Yes, you need to ensure the said surface at your space is dust-free. Best way to do this is to wet wipe every surface before the fogging with a moist microfiber towel. Basic wet wiping will remove loose dust from the surface and disinfectant will be lot more effective on a dust free surface.

You can use a clean and moist microfiber towel to wet wipe the surface after atleast 1 hour of fogging.
After fogging, ensure the indoor space is left untouched for at least ½ an hour followed by thorough ventilation of the premise by opening doors and windows for min 15 mins.. All in all, you can re-use the indoor premises after 45 mins of fogging.
